The dates for our annual compulsory meets have been set. The Candy Cup will be held October 23-24, and The Wheel of Fortune Invitational will be on November 21-22. Please mark your calendars for the fun.
Eastern National Champions!!!! Congratulations to Meghan Brannon and Morgan Marks for winning national titles this weekend at the Level 9 Eastern National Championships in West Virginia. Meghan won the title in the All-Around while finishing 3rd on Bars, 5th on Beam, and 3rd on Floor. Morgan won the title on the Bars, while finishing 6th on the Beam and 8th in the All-Around. Riley Thompson also finished 6th on the Bars. Please make sure to congratulate these young ladies on their HUGE accomplishments.
The State Champion Level 8 athletes finished up their season at the regional championships this past weekend in Tupelo. Among the many highlights were the regional gold medal winning performances by Gina Pergolizzi (Vault, Beam, & All-Around), Eva Rapp (Floor), Rachel Whisennant (Beam), and Carly Tidwell (Floor). Nationals Bound!!! Congratulations to LaFleur's Level 9 athletes, Riley Thompson, Morgan Marks, & Meghan Brannon on qualifying to Eastern Nationals. Only the top 6 athletes in each age group qualified. Also a big congrats to Amanda Bertorello, Kaitlin Green, and Amanda Condreay for qualifying to Level 10 JO Nationals. Kaitlin also took home the gold on bars and beam, and Amanda C. took home the gold on bars! Good Luck to all the athletes in their nationals endeavors!
Success at State! LaFleur's Largo took the state team titles in Level 8 & Level 9 this past weekend. We are the only club in Florida to win two optional team titles, and win the most gold medals (25) in individual competitions. The LaFleur's Level 8's were once again GREAT! For the fourth time this season the Level 8 team has taken home the first place trophy. This time it was at the competitive Tim Rand Memorial Invitation. The LaFleur's girls (Cassidy Marks, Jenna Cashmore, and Eva Rapp) took top honors in all three age groups. Level 8's win BIG! Congratulations to the LaFleur's Level 8 team for taking home the team trophy at the prestigious Buckeye Classic. Our Level 8 team had the highest score out of any team in any session all weekend! Our creative girls also won the annual Buckeye Spirit Award, while honoring team USA. Congrats to our All-Around winners, Jasmine Kauffman, Jenna Cashmore, Bailey Schwingdorff, & Sarena Bumbarger. Check out results here and photos of all the fun soon to come.
Congratulations to the LaFleur's Level 8 and 9 teams for taking home first place team trophies at the Atlanta Centennial Classic. Congratulations to LaFleur's Level 10 gymnasts, Jaime Applefield & Sarena Bumbarger for signing their national letters of intent this past week. Jaime will be attending Bowling Green State University and Sarena will be attending Michigan State University on a full gymnastics scholarship beginning fall of 2010. LaFleurs Level 10 gymnast Sarena Bumbarger, has committed to a full athletic scholarship to attend Michigan State University. Sarena will compete on their gymnastics team in the fall of 2010 and can't wait to be a Spartan! Congratulations to Sarena, her family, and her coaches!

Congratulations to Level 9 gymnast Amanda Condreay on being invited to attend the Region 8 All-Star trip which will be held in Cancun, Mexico this August. Amanda did an exceptional job at the Level 9 Eastern Championships. Have fun!!
Congratulations to Level 10 gymnast Tiffany Brodbeck for receiving an athletic scholarship to Ball State University in Indiana. She will be starting in the fall and will compete for them this upcoming year. Great Job Tiffany!
Great Job to Kaitlin Green on being invited to and attending the elite developmental training camp at the National Training Center. Kaitlin and her coaches learned alot and worked very hard while they were there. She is pictured above with National Team Coordinator Marta Karolyi.
Congratulations to Kaitlin Green on winning the Silver Medal on Beam at Nationals. Kaitlin did an exquisite routine and captured the first ever top 3 finish from a LaFleur's athlete at Level 10 Nationals. Congratulations also to Amanda Condreay on her Bronze Medal All-Around performance and Morgan Marks on her Bronze Medal winning Bar routine at the Level 9 Eastern National Competition.

Both athletes will be on the National Team where they will compete at JO Nationals in Seattle, Washington. Great job to the LaFleur's Level 7 team on their 3rd place win at the state meet. The girls were leading the meet until the final session and half of the Level 7's were Level 5's in December! Outstanding job girls! Results are here.
Congratulations to Level 10 gymnast Dali Lemezan for accepting a position to compete on the University of Florida gymnastics team. Dali has received a partial academic scholarship to the University where she hopes to compete this fall. We cant wait to watch her as a gator!
Regionals here we come! Congrats to all of the LaFleurs Optional Athletes on a great performance at the state meet. All gymnasts that performed in the All-Around competition have moved on to their Regional Meet. A special congratulations to Savannah Chavers, Taylor Short, and Natalie Humbert on their state titles. Our Level 9 Team even pulled out a surprising top 3 finish! Way to go girls.
State Meet Results
Congratulations to Senior Gymnast Kaley LaFleur, who has been accepted to West Chester University in Pennsylvania where she intends to continue her gymnastics by competing for them in the fall of 2009.
Congratulations to Amanda Bertorello and Kaitlin Green for Qualifiying to the 2009 US Challenge. Both gymnasts qualified in Colorado this past weekend and will be representing LaFleur's at this prestigious meet in July. Read more here and view photos here.

Congratulations to Rachel Whisennant, Savannah Chavers, Allie Heller, and Amanda Ismaili on being selected to represent the state of Florida in the National Judges Cup Level 7 meet. These gymnasts were selected among the top Level 7 athletes in the state, and LaFleurs will have more gymnasts represented than any other club in Florida. Good Luck Girls!

CONGRATULATIONS TO SARENA BUMBARGER....LEVEL 9 EASTERN NATIONAL ALL-AROUND
CHAMPION!!! LaFleur's own, Sarena Bumbarger, won the national titles
on Bars, Floor, and in the All-Around in the Senior A division in Orlando,
Florida. Sarena is the only gymnast from region 8(the southeastern U.S.)
that won a National All-Around title at the prestigious competition.
Congratulations to Sarena, and her coaches David & Laura on an outstanding
accomplishment!
